Born in New Jersey to an Iranian father and a Finnish mother, Nadia was raised in the Baha’i Faith, an independent world religion that believes in unity, elimination of prejudice, and gender equality. Her first novel The Seekers follows the lives of three multicultural siblings whose lives take different paths that lead them back to seeking solace in their family’s faith.
Inspired by her faith’s teachings, she is also an ardent feminist, regularly speaking and writing about women’s issues.
She is a graduate of Rutgers University (2012) and holds an M.A. in English Education from Brooklyn College (2015).
She currently lives in New York City with her cat, Emma.
